Changed my mind about underlayment after a job in Tacoma
Last month I was doing a big vinyl plank install in a Tacoma condo, and the client wanted to skip the underlayment to save cash. I figured the subfloor was flat enough, so I went with it. A week later they called saying the floor was clicking and popping everywhere. Went back, pulled a few planks, and saw the tiny gaps from the concrete breathing. My boss said, 'That's the sound of saving $200.' Now I always use a 6mm moisture barrier, no exceptions. Anyone else had a job that made you never skip a step again?

My Tacoma clicker cost me a warranty call.

Wait, a CLICKER caused a WARRANTY call? That's WILD. Those things are supposed to be pretty basic, not something that triggers the manufacturer. Toyota must have a REALLY sensitive system if a simple remote can mess with the warranty.

Ugh, tell me about it. I learned that lesson the hard way on a basement job that now sounds like a bowl of rice krispies.
