That damp feeling underfoot was a warning sign
I was laying down some engineered wood in a sunroom last Tuesday. The concrete slab seemed dry to the touch, so I almost started gluing the planks down. But something made me grab my moisture meter for a quick check. The reading was way higher than it should have been, which meant we had to delay. We spent a day applying a sealant and letting it cure properly. Now the floor is down and looking great, with no risk of warping. I'll never skip that meter test again, even on jobs that seem straightforward.

Your moisture meter check echoes what I read about slab moisture.

Ever notice how often we read something online and then see it in real life? I followed a tutorial for fixing my sink leak last month and the steps matched exactly what was under there. Same with car repair forums, the weird noise my Jeep made was just like the forum post said. It’s kinda wild how much solid, real info is out there if you look past the junk.
