That time I glued lvp to fresh concrete and ruined 400 square feet of material
Last Tuesday on a job in Dayton, I laid down a whole living room floor before realizing the concrete was still curing and had moisture pushing up through the slab. The adhesive never set right and the planks started lifting at the edges by the afternoon, cost me 800 bucks in replacement material and a full day of tear-out. Has anyone else had a moisture test come back fine but still run into problems like this?

Is it just me or does every industry have that one simple step that everyone skips until it costs them real money, like checking your tire pressure before a road trip or reading the fine print on a warranty? You think you're saving time by rushing the prep work, but really you're just guaranteeing a bigger headache down the line. The moisture test might say fine, but your floor knows better because concrete's always got a little secret moisture hiding somewhere.

Had the same thing happen on a basement job in Cincy. Switched to a moisture vapor barrier glue and waited an extra three days before laying anything down, never had that issue again.
