The time I forgot to order enough roses for a big wedding in Savannah

It was a 200-guest wedding at the old cotton mill venue, and I had only ordered 150 stems of the specific peach garden roses the bride wanted. I realized my mistake the morning of, two hours before setup. I called every grower and wholesaler in a 50-mile radius and finally found a small farm that had 50 stems left, but they were a slightly different shade. I drove out there, mixed them in with the original order, and the bride never noticed. Has anyone else had to scramble for a last-minute flower rescue like that?

Did you ever tell the bride after the fact, or is that a secret you're taking to the grave?

Would she even want to know at this point, @the_emery? I mean, if it's been years and they're still married, isn't it just causing pain for no good reason? Some secrets are better left buried, especially when the only person who gets hurt is the one you supposedly care about.
