Rented a gas truck for a weekend vs my electric cart - never going back
Spent $200 on propane and had to deal with that burner going out mid-service twice. My little electric cart just plugs in overnight and cooks more consistent - has anyone else found the electric route way less headache than dealing with gas?

Gas always seemed like the obvious choice to me for years. But after helping a buddy with his electric cart for a big event last month, I totally get it now. His just hummed along all day with zero hassle while I was constantly watching my tank levels. No running out mid-cook or dealing with a finicky regulator in the middle of a service. Electric really does win on being simple and dependable in my book.

Last summer I ran a BBQ for about 80 people at a family reunion and borrowed a buddy's electric cart after my gas one died halfway through. It was a pit boss model, nothing fancy, just plugged it in overnight and it ran six hours straight without me touching anything. The temp held steady the whole time, never had to mess with a knob or worry about a tank running dry. I was skeptical at first, but after that day I started looking into getting my own electric unit. Gas has its place for high heat searing maybe, but for long slow cooks electric takes the stress out of it.
