Warning: Picked a gas generator over solar for my taco truck
I chose a $800 propane generator instead of solar panels for my taco truck in Austin last summer, and now I'm kicking myself after fuel costs ate into my profit margins by 30%. Has anyone else made this mistake and found a way to switch without losing their shirt?

Honestly, was the upfront cost a nightmare or did you find some kind of financing that made it manageable? Tbh I've been looking at quotes and the payback period just seems kind of sketchy unless you're already planning to live there for 15+ years. Ngl the whole leasing vs buying thing feels like a trap too, like you don't really own the panels but still get stuck with the maintenance.
