Appreciation post: My college PDA made me ditch group texts years ago
I dug out my old Handspring Visor and it still manages my daily tasks better than any phone app. Remember when you had to sync data with a cable instead of cloud updates. My roommates laughed at me for carrying it around campus back in the day. But planning our weekend trips on that tiny screen meant we actually talked face to face. Now I see my own kids just sending links to each other without ever meeting up. Using that old tech forced real conversations that you just don't get now. Give it a shot, unplug from the constant pings and try a week with a simple old gadget.

Remember when we all thought carrying a Palm Pilot made us look like serious tech wizards? I felt so organized until I dropped mine and the stylus flew into a storm drain. Spent twenty minutes fishing for it while my friends actually talked to each other. Maybe the gadget was just a clumsy way to force us into those dumb, fun moments. What's your most embarrassing old tech fail?

Actually that device didn't make you talk more, the whole situation did. Tbh you could have the same chats now if everyone put their phones away.

Forget putting all the phones in a basket like it's some big intervention. People just check them during boring lulls in conversation anyway (which is fine). It's not like we've all forgotten how to talk.
