Bought a Palm Pilot from 1999 and it was useless in 2 days

Spent 30 bucks on an old Palm Pilot Vx thinking I could use it as a distraction-free calendar. Synced it once but the battery gave out after 48 hours and now it won't hold a charge at all. Anyone else tried reviving old PDAs and just ended up with a paperweight?

I read those old Palm Pilots had memory problems with the batteries.

Oh man, tell me about it. I had one where the whole thing just wiped itself when the battery died on me.
