Found my old Game Boy Camera in a box and the pictures still loaded

I popped in fresh AAA batteries and the little thermal printer actually spit out a grainy photo of my dog from like 2003. Has anyone else had luck getting one of these to work after all this time?

Honestly that's just lucky, most of those old thermal paper rolls are dried out bricks by now. Tried mine last year and the printer just made a sad grinding noise, nothing came out. Even if it prints, the pictures fade to blank in a few days anyway. Kinda a waste of batteries.

Yeah that fading thing is a huge bummer, @brookef73. Did you try storing the printed pics somewhere dark or in a book? I heard that can slow it down a bit, but mine from last summer are already ghosts lol. Makes you wonder if the newer paper they sell is any better at all.
