My brother told me to keep my old iPod Classic and I'm glad I did

He said the click wheel was the best interface ever made and that the solid state drive would outlast any phone. I laughed at him in 2015, but my 160GB model from 2009 still works perfectly today, loaded with my old playlists. Has anyone else found a use for theirs besides just nostalgia?

Honestly, I don't get the "dedicated running playlist machine" thing. You're telling me you only use a gadget that does exactly one thing, and then you have to carry a whole separate device for music? That sounds like a pain. My phone already handles my running playlists plus everything else, so why would I want to lug two things around? I used to try that with an old iPod nano and it just ended up collecting dust because I always forgot to charge it. Seems like you're adding extra steps for no real benefit.
