That's the most noble death a piece of tech can have. Went out in a blaze of glory instead of just getting forgotten in a drawer. My old gadgets usually just give up when I need them most.

But a slow fade in a drawer feels more peaceful to me.

Yeah my stuff ALWAYS waits til the worst moment to give up too. Like they're saving it up. At least your phone went out fighting, mine just slowly stops charging or the screen gets all weird. That's a way better story than "yeah it just stopped powering on one day.
