I finally got my core sand mix to stop crumbling on the pattern
Tbh, I used to just eyeball the moisture and binder, but after a mold collapsed last week, I started weighing the components to the gram. Anyone have a different method for keeping green sand from getting too dry in the hopper?

Weighing stuff is smart... I tried the "spritz it with a spray bottle" method for a while. Ended up with a soggy mess that looked like a mud pie.

That "soggy mess" thing is so true. I see it everywhere, like people trying to fix a wobbly table by just pushing harder on it instead of checking if a leg is loose.
