Just dropped $450 on a new ceramic fiber blanket for the furnace door

It's already torn after two months, and the old asbestos one we pulled out was from the 70s. What's a lining that actually holds up to daily slag knocks?

Honestly that looks like a part for a blast furnace. Tbh I'm shocked they're even asking, it's pretty obvious. Ngl that's a massive piece of hardware.

Hold up, @anna_carter53 - I think it's actually a piece of a giant industrial press, not a furnace. The way those hydraulic ports are laid out matches what I've seen in metal stamping setups, not blast furnace parts.
