Lost a shift to a guy who knew duct tape patching last month
I work at a grey iron foundry in Toledo. Last month some temp got hired and he tried to fix a crack in a core mold with duct tape. The foreman saw it, told the boss, and the temp got let go same day. Now they're watching all us regular guys closer because of that one move. Has anyone else seen something dumb like that mess things up for everyone?

@the_logan you nailed it. The "creepy feeling of being stared at" is spot on. They didn't pull us aside, it's just more eyes on everything now. One guy got chewed out for leaving a broom in an aisle.

Now they're watching all us regular guys closer because of that one move" - That part right there is the real kick in the teeth, isn't it? Ngl, it sounds like the temp was just a clueless newbie who didn't know any better, but the real pain is the heat coming down on you seasoned guys who actually know your jobs. Honestly, has management actually pulled you aside and said what they're watching for now, or is it just that creepy feeling of being stared at more? Tbh, I'd be losing my mind if I had to second-guess every little thing I do because some temp couldn't read the room.
