Last Thursday was legit the worst work day I've had in years

Honestly I don't know what happened but last Thursday was just a total mess from start to finish. I had three big deadlines all due by 5pm and my laptop decided to update Windows right when I was in the middle of saving a file. Then the office coffee machine broke and I had to run to the gas station for a cup that tasted like burnt plastic. To top it all off my boss scheduled a last minute meeting at 4:30 and I had to explain why two reports weren't done. By the time I got home I just sat in my car for like 10 minutes not wanting to move. Has anyone else had a day that felt like the universe was just out to get them for no reason?

Tbh I gotta push back on the "universe was out to get you" part. Your day sounds rough but honestly most of that stuff was preventable if you'd saved your files earlier or planned around the deadline chaos a little better. Sounds like a bad day for sure, not some cosmic curse.

Honestly I think calling it a "cosmic curse" is a bit much anyway. People just love to make everything sound like some huge dramatic thing when really it's just a normal Tuesday with bad choices. You're right that saving files earlier is just common sense at this point. And planning around deadlines? That's literally just adulting. I mean sure it sucks when things go wrong but we don't need to turn it into a whole "the universe hates me" thing every time. Sometimes bad days are just bad days.
