Warning: Payment processor glitch cost me a full week of income

Square locked my account for 5 days after a client disputed a $2,300 project payment. No warning, no phone support, just a chatbot that said "under review." I had to pull from savings to cover rent and utilities while they sorted it out. Has anyone else had their payment processor freeze funds without notice?

Gotta disagree here. You took on a $2,300 client without any backup plan or cash buffer? That's on you, not Square. Freelancing 101 is having at least 3 months of expenses saved.

Yeah no, having emergency savings doesn't stop Square from randomly freezing your money. That part is definitely on them.
