Vent: Client said my satin finish looked 'too shiny'...

Had a client in Arlington last week complain that the satin poly I used on her dining table looked like gloss. I was using General Finishes satin, same as always. She wanted me to buff it with steel wool to knock it down, so I did, and honestly it just looked cloudy after. Has anyone else dealt with a client who has a totally different idea of what satin means?

Is it just me or does "satin" mean something different to everyone now?

Satin means a shiny fabric, that's it.
