Vent: I painted my entire garage floor with standard porch paint before a friend in Cincinnati asked if I'd sealed the concrete first. I hadn't.

My buddy did that with his basement floor and it peeled in like six months. He had to rent a sander and strip the whole mess off. Concrete really needs that sealer first.

Oh man, that's rough. @the_gray is right about the peeling, but I wonder if the paint might actually trap moisture now and cause mold under there.

My cousin tried painting her garage floor without sealing it first. The whole thing bubbled up after a few heavy rains. She ended up with this weird damp smell that took forever to get rid of.
