Had to deal with a neighbor's fence on my property line last month, learned a hard lesson about adverse possession.

Guess I should start mowing a foot into my neighbor's yard, just to be safe. My lawn looks terrible anyway.

My uncle in Ohio lost a 10 foot strip of his backyard that way. The laws are way too harsh on the original owner. You have to be almost perfect with your property lines from day one.
