I hit 12 months of back child support payments and it changed my whole view

I got behind after losing my job in Denver and the court order felt impossible. But I just made my 12th straight payment last week, which is a milestone I never thought I'd see. It showed me that setting up automatic payments through my bank and talking to the case worker actually made a real difference. Has anyone else found a specific system that helped them catch up on something like this?

What did you say to your case worker to get them on your side? I had to basically beg mine to look at my pay stubs and show them my budget before they would even talk about a payment plan.

Honestly I just came prepared with all my papers already sorted and told them straight up I wanted to fix this. I said "I know I owe this, here's what I can pay each month based on my income." Showing them the math right away made it real for them. It turned from me asking for help to us solving a problem together. Being super clear about my limits from the start stopped the back and forth.
