Had to decide on a field trip location for my intro class, either the local quarry or a riverbed site.
Went with the quarry near Springfield for the clearer stratigraphy. The students actually got to see a full sequence from shale to limestone, which was awesome. Anyone have a go-to spot for teaching basic sedimentary layers?

Where's your quarry at" makes it sound like I'm hiding something, averym82. I just don't see the point in keeping a list of people I'm mad at. It's a waste of energy. I'd rather deal with a problem directly and move on.
