Just got back from the Grand Canyon and think the South Rim is overhyped

I spent last Thursday hiking down the South Kaibab Trail and honestly, the North Rim blows it away. The rock layers at the South Rim are all washed out from tourist dust and smog, but up north near Point Imperial you can actually see the bright reds and oranges of the Supai Group clear as day. Why do people keep cramming into a place where you can barely see the geology?

Yo honestly, I think people sleep on the whole accessibility angle when it comes to the North Rim. Yeah it's harder to get to, but that's exactly why the views are better and the crowds are way smaller. Most tourists just want a selfie at the same overcrowded overlooks and don't actually care about seeing the real canyon. The South Rim is basically a theme park at this point while the North Rim still feels like an actual wilderness experience.
