Trying to identify a weird pebble I found in my driveway took me a solid two hours of staring at a flow chart.
I finally realized it was just a piece of broken driveway sealant, not some exotic mineral, but hey, at least I learned what chert isn't, right?

That deep dive into random stuff happens all the time now. Spent twenty minutes last week researching a weird bug on my window, just a piece of fuzz. The internet makes it too easy to fall down a rabbit hole for nothing.

Know that feeling way too well. Got obsessed with a weird stain on my ceiling last month. Convinced myself it was a rare mold, spent an hour reading about spores. It was just old water damage from a coffee cup I left up there. The internet feeds that little voice that says everything is a mystery.
