Hot take: Taking turns as foreman on glass jobs fixes team issues

My crew used to argue a lot with one guy always in charge. Now we swap who runs the site every few days on big window installs. It makes everyone care more and learn fast. For instance, on a storefront job, a new guy caught a sealant gap we all missed. This cut rework time and boosted crew mood. Give it a shot if your team feels stuck or mad.

I figured it would cause chaos but tried it last month. It actually stopped the blame game and things run smoother now.

We did the same thing after a botched hotel lobby job where nobody owned the mistakes. Letting each guy run point for a week made them check each other's work way closer. Last project, the usual quiet one spotted a bad glass order before it even left the shop, saving us a huge headache.

Sounds good but feels like fixing a symptom, not the problem. If you need a whole new system just to stop grown adults from arguing, maybe the real issue is who you hired. A good crew shouldn't need a title swap to pay attention or care about the work.
