Question about a $300 glass handling vacuum cup
I bought a big vacuum cup for moving heavy shower doors by myself last week. It cost about $300, but it slipped on a textured glass panel and nearly dropped a 100-pound piece. I think the texture messed with the seal. Has anyone found a good cup that works on textured glass without slipping?

Always figured the expensive gear was just better. That gummy rim idea from Barbara's friend actually makes a lot of sense for rough surfaces. Might have to try a softer cup next time.

My buddy Mark in Phoenix had the same problem with his pool enclosure glass. He switched to a cup with a softer, gummy rim and it held way better.
