Shoutout to the job in Dallas where I saw a big difference in sealant failure after just 2 years
We did a storefront in Dallas back in 2021 and the silicone they used started peeling off the glass by last summer, but the spot where we used a different primer held up fine. Has anyone else seen a specific brand of sealant fail way faster than expected?

Man I gotta respectfully disagree with you on this one. I've been using that same silicone for years and never had peeling issues like that unless the surface prep was bad or the wrong primer was used. Honestly sounds more like a contamination problem or maybe the glass wasn't cleaned right before application. Two years is way too fast for a quality sealant to fail unless there was something weird going on with the installation.

Could it also be a problem with the specific batch or formula change from the manufacturer that year?
