My coffee maker started making tea instead of coffee for a single morning

I woke up yesterday, hit the brew button on my Mr. Coffee like always, and it poured out a full pot of what smelled and tasted like Earl Grey tea. I checked the water tank, the grounds basket, everything was normal coffee setup. It went back to making coffee the next time I used it. Has anyone else had an appliance just decide to produce a completely different thing out of the blue?

My last one ended up being about office snacks instead of quarterly reports lol

Yeah that "completely different thing" shift happens. I just put the snack slide at the end as a reward for sitting through the boring part.
