Can we talk about the time I borrowed a font from a movie poster?
I was working on a concert flyer and used this really bold typeface I loved from a film ad. Later, my buddy pointed out it was trademarked for that franchise only. I mean, idk if changing a few letters makes it okay, but I had to redo the whole text part. Maybe it's just me, but walking that line between cool look and legal trouble feels so silly.

Back in 2015, I used the 'Jurassic Park' font for a school project. I don't see it as a big deal if you're not making money from it. Fonts are just shapes, and changing a few letters should be enough to avoid legal trouble. Most companies won't come after small projects anyway. Redoing the whole text part seems like overkill to me. It's more about being creative than worrying about trademarks.

Actually fonts can be copyrighted, not just trademarks. Big difference. Not worth the risk even for fun stuff. Plenty of free similar fonts out there.

Ugh, I just grab a similar looking free font online now, saves the headache.
