Shoutout to the new exhibit at the Chicago Design Museum
I went there yesterday and saw their show on 90s web design. They had over 50 original site graphics printed huge on the walls. The pixel art and wild color combos were a real shock to see at that scale. It made me realize how much current flat design has lost that playful, messy energy. Has anyone else checked it out and felt the same way about the shift in style?

Wait they actually printed the graphics?

Of course they printed them, it's the only way to make the game pieces last. Stickers peel and get damaged over time. A direct print is just better quality and feels more finished. It shows they actually care about the product they're selling. Why would anyone want cheap stickers on a board game in this day and age?

@the_tara FINALLY telling people like it IS. Stickers ALWAYS look cheap and they peel up at the edges after a few plays. Direct print on the board is SO much cleaner. You pay good money for a game you want it to actually hold up. My copy of Wingspan has printed pieces and they still look brand new years later.
