Saw a guy trying to 'fix' a shotgun with a car battery at a swap meet in Boise
He had the barrel off and was trying to use jumper cables to 'weld' the action back together, saying he saw it on a video. I told him that was a good way to get hurt and maybe ruin a nice old Remington 870. Has anyone else seen a repair attempt that was just plain wild?

That Remington 870 is a solid gun... what part was he even trying to weld? The action bars to the bolt? I saw a video once where a guy tried to "fix" a cracked stock by filling it with epoxy resin and wrapping it in duct tape. Did the swap meet guy at least have safety glasses on, or was he just going for it?
