Working on a 1950s Winchester 94, the bore went from looking like a sewer pipe to mirror bright. What's the best way to get that last bit of stubborn fouling out of the corners of the rifling?

Grab a copper brush and some good solvent, really let it soak overnight. Those corners can hold onto fouling like crazy after decades. What specific type of fouling are you still seeing, is it lead or just old powder crust? That changes what you should attack it with next.

My old 1911 had that same lead fouling in the feed ramp corners. A bronze brush with some Hoppe's No. 9 and a lot of elbow grease finally got it out. The key is matching the solvent to the fouling type.

Man, that's exactly what I ran into with my old revolver, took forever with a bronze brush and patience before it finally let go. @williamt44 is spot on about the overnight soak, letting that stuff soften up is half the battle.
