A client in Phoenix told me my thinning shears were too aggressive on her fine hair
She said it made her ends look wispy and thin, so now I only take off about 20% of what I used to. Anyone have a favorite technique for fine hair that still adds texture?

Okay, so you said you only take off about 20% of what you used to... but what does that actually look like now? Are you still using the thinning shears at all, or did you switch to a different tool like a razor or texturizing scissors? I'm always worried about making fine hair look stringy.

Honestly my friend tried texturizing scissors and it looked awful, taylor.amy.

Yeah, texturizing scissors can go real bad real fast. I mean, my sister tried them on her fine hair and it just made it look thin and weird at the ends. What ended up working for her was just using regular sharp shears and point cutting into the ends. It takes longer but you have way more control. She stopped using any thinning tools completely because they always made it stringy. Maybe it's just me but sometimes the simple way is better.
