I finally switched from a standard bucket to a tilt bucket on my excavator for a month

We were doing a lot of grading on a site in Tacoma and I was always fighting to get the right angle. After using the tilt bucket for four weeks, I cut my grading time by almost half because I wasn't constantly repositioning the whole machine. Who else has made a simple change that saved a ton of time on a basic job?

Disagree on the laser level for grading, honestly. On rough ground, that beam is useless the second you move the machine an inch. I found a good grade rod and my eyes were way faster for the final inch or two of dirt. The laser just adds another thing to set up and babysit.

Ever try a laser level for that kind of work?

Switched to quick couplers last year. Game changer for swapping tools fast, feels like cheating.
