Can we talk about the tiny island in Maine that has more puffins than people?

I just read a visitor guide for Machias Seal Island and it said there are over 5,000 puffins but zero permanent residents, which is wild for a place you can actually visit.

Remember seeing puffins in Iceland and thinking they looked like sad clowns. That island sounds like their version of a weird, bird-only theme park. Kind of makes me want to visit just for the strange vibe.
