Vent: In my experience, a lot of online history forums get stuck on one theory and ignore stuff that doesn't fit. It's how good leads go cold, take that with a grain of salt.

Remember that time someone tried to bring up actual archaeology in a thread about ancient astronauts? The pile-on was brutal, like watching a documentary get heckled by a clown car. Good times, but also kinda sad how the sensible stuff just vanishes. Makes you wonder why we even bother with facts sometimes.

Saw a thing about how these theories always misuse the few science terms they actually know.

My buddy Mark, he’s getting his master’s in archaeology. Last year he spent an hour carefully explaining carbon dating on some conspiracy sub. Someone immediately linked a video about how the pyramids were power plants. Then six people called him a "shill for big history." He just closed the laptop and went for a walk. Said it felt like digging a hole at the beach, watching the tide just fill it back in with garbage.
