Vent: I swore by dried herbs for years, but a neighbor's garden changed my tune.
I used to think dried herbs were easier and just as good, but fresh ones from a garden made me change my mind. Do you prefer dried or fresh herbs in your cooking?

I was the same until I grew some basil and realized dried tastes like dust.

My kitchen window sill has three little pots of thyme now. I was all about the dried stuff for speed, but fresh leaves just smell different, taste different. It's like that with a lot of things, you know? We get used to the easy version and forget how much better the real deal is. I saw it with my coffee too, switching from instant to grinding beans. The effort feels worth it, and it makes daily routines a bit more special.
