PSA: My neighbor's DIY sandbag workout got me thinking about waste
I've seen more folks create their own workout gear with things they already own. For example, my neighbor filled old duffel bags with sand for weight training. It saves cash and stops the need to buy new plastic equipment. Others use water bottles as dumbbells or backpacks filled with books for squats. This trend cuts down on clutter and landfill waste. Also, it lets people work out without fancy gear. It's a small step, but if more join in, the environmental effect grows.

I used to think you needed store-bought weights, but the sandbag idea changed my view. @the_iris is onto something with the garage gym comment.
