Pro tip: My home AC tweaking hobby made me better at spotting leaks

I adjusted an old unit to stop a slow refrigerant leak, and now I find them faster on jobs. Has a personal project ever helped your professional skills?

SO true for hands on stuff. When you said 'home AC tweaking hobby,' it hit me HARD. Tinkering at home lets you make mistakes without pressure. You learn the little signs that manuals miss. That deep down knowledge just sticks with you. It turns into INSTINCT on the job, no overthinking needed.

@abbyclark That's how you spot issues before they blow up.

Ever worry that home tweaking might ingrain bad habits? I've known folks who learned shortcuts that aren't safe or up to code. That kind of confidence can backfire on actual work sites.
