Changed my mind on skipping the moisture barrier in crawl spaces

A mold problem from a past job showed me that adding it saves bigger headaches later.

Learn the hard way, did we? Nothing like a mold problem to make you appreciate plastic sheeting. It's ALWAYS the stuff you skip that comes back to bite you. People think they're saving time or money, but then they end up with a science project in their crawl space. Moisture barriers are one of those things you just don't mess with. Glad you saw the light before it got even worse.

So did you at least get a cool pattern out of the mold growth? It's like a bad art show you never wanted in your house. I love how skipping one simple step turns into a full time cleanup job. The worst part is knowing you did it to yourself, too. But now you can join the club of people who actually read installation instructions.
