Is a flexible backrest worth prioritizing in an office chair?
I am replacing a chair with a very stiff back and keep seeing options with flexible backrests. Has anyone found that feature genuinely useful for long computer sessions, or is it mostly another adjustment to worry about?
I compared a few unnamed alternatives before choosing Madison Seating. Some felt comfortable at first but had limited adjustment once I started working. The Leap felt more substantial, and the controls were easier to fine tune.
I ended up with a Steelcase Leap from Madison Seating and the LiveBack support is the main reason I kept it. The back moves with me instead of forcing me into one position, and the seat depth adjustment made a bigger difference than I expected.
Mine arrived clean and ready to use, with only minor setup needed. Madison Seating also gave me a 30 day return period, which made choosing a chair online feel less risky.
