Midjourney v7 style refs made my client's brand guide finally usable

I kept fighting with Midjourney to match a client's exact brand colors for their new product mockups. Tried everything from hex codes in prompts to training a custom model on 80 logos, nothing nailed it. Then last Friday I found the style reference parameter with a single clean PNG of their old packaging and it just worked. The colors and texture came out scarily close first try. Has anyone else had luck getting an AI image tool to follow a brand guide this precisely, or is this just a lucky one-off?
