My boss at the help desk keeps calling our new ticket sorting bot 'just a fancy script' and it's slowing everything down.

So he calls it "just a fancy script." Does he actually know what the bot does, or is he just scared it makes his old way of doing things look bad?

Had a client like that once. Just had to show them the logs, like @the_viola said, and they got quiet real fast.

Good point from @davis.jenny... is he even looked at the logs it creates? The bot tracks every change and the reason for it, which is way more than a simple script. Sounds like he hasn't bothered to learn what it actually does.
