My buddy swore by that AI resume builder and I thought he was crazy

Last month my friend Dave told me he used an AI tool to rewrite his resume and got three callbacks in a week. I laughed because I figured it would just spit out generic stuff that any recruiter would spot. But I gave it a shot with my own resume, fed it some details about my route delivery experience, and it actually cleaned up my wording way better than I could. The interview I got last Tuesday was from a company that specifically mentioned the phrasing in my resume. Has anyone else had one of these tools actually change their mind about AI?

Figured the thing would make my resume sound like a robot wrote it, but turns out the robot wrote it better than I ever could. I told my wife the AI probably did a cleaner job because it didn't have my habit of writing run-on sentences about my favorite part of the job being the air conditioning in the truck. She laughed, but then she had me redo her resume too. Sometimes you just gotta admit when the bots do it better, even if it hurts.
