My buddy tried to get an AI to write a love song for his wife and it went totally sideways
Honestly, he was using one of those new lyric generator tools and typed in 'romantic song about my wife, she loves gardening'. Ngl, the thing spit out a chorus about 'my dearest compost heap, your decay is so sweet' and we couldn't stop laughing for a solid ten minutes. Has anyone else had an AI completely miss the point in a hilarious way?

That "dearest compost heap" line is amazing. I tried something similar asking for a birthday message for my sister who runs marathons. The AI gave me a whole paragraph about "celebrating your relentless forward motion" that made her sound like a freight train.

That "compost heap" line is somehow both terrible and poetic at the same time though. It makes me wonder if these AIs just latch onto the most unexpected word from your prompt and run with it. Maybe the gardening connection made the AI think of the soil cycle in a way no human ever would. Honestly, there could be a weird deep meaning buried in that song about growth and renewal. Some existentialist art student would probably love it unironically.
