PSA: that study about AI copying your voice from 3 seconds of audio is real and it freaked me out
I read the paper from a lab in Montreal saying they can clone a voice from just 3 seconds of sample, and I tested a free tool with a 4 second clip of myself and it nailed my accent. My own brother could not tell it was fake on a voicemail. Anyone else messing with voice cloning, and how are you guarding against it?
