My buddy Dave runs a small deck company. He showed me his tablet last week, the whole thing had a 3D model of a backyard. Now he sends them from the truck before he even leaves the property.

Seriously, that's the game changer right there. @brookef73 is totally on point about getting the quote out fast. I watched my uncle's landscaping crew lose jobs for the same slow reason. They got some app last fall that does the same thing for patios, and now they close deals on the spot. It's not even about being fancy, it's just not making people wait. The old way just can't keep up anymore.
