Used to write all my unit test cases by hand, tried a code assistant last month, now I'm torn
I write C# for a small insurance shop in Columbus. Before, I'd sit there 2 hours per class writing assertions by hand, usually around 40 lines each. Last month I turned on one of those AI code helpers. First batch it spit out looked fine, ran clean, I was pumped. Then I caught it testing a null check that could never happen because the property was marked required. Took me 3 days to trust it again, and I still read every single line it gives me. Curious if anyone else here writes tests with AI or if you all still do it manually.
