Warned my cousin to stop blindly trusting chatbot answers after it gave me a wrong dosage calculation
Last week I asked a popular AI chatbot to help convert some measurements for a recipe I was scaling up, and it confidently gave me a number that was off by nearly double. I only caught it because I double checked with a kitchen scale, and my batter would have been ruined if I had trusted it. That one mistake made me realize these tools can sound completely sure of themselves even when they are flat wrong. Now I run anything important through a second source before I use it. Has anyone else caught an AI giving a confident wrong answer like that?
