Warning: spent $400 on an AI content generator that wrote like a bot from 2018

I paid for a year of WriteSmart AI back in January and all it did was churn out paragraphs that sounded like a textbook from a decade ago. After 3 months of trying to fix the tone myself I gave up and just write everything from scratch now. Has anyone actually found an AI tool that doesn't sound robotic as hell?

Saw a coworker trying the same thing and she ended up deleting the whole app off her phone.

Ngl my buddy paid $300 for one and it wrote his blog posts like a middle schooler's book report.
