Finally figured out why my rewatch list was so messy

I kept losing track of which episodes I watched during my Naruto rewatch, so I tried making a simple checklist on Google Sheets instead of relying on memory. After 3 tries with different tracking apps, the sheet worked perfectly because I could color code each arc. Has anyone else found a super basic tool that just works better than the fancy ones?

Google Sheets is actually perfect for this because you can make it as simple or detailed as you want. I use conditional formatting so completed cells turn green automatically, which is WAY more satisfying than checking a box. The key is keeping it basic enough that you actually update it instead of abandoning it like the fancy apps.

That conditional formatting trick is genius, I'm going to steal that. Keeps you honest when you see a sea of white instead of green.

Right? That sea of white is a killer. I definitely have a few spreadsheets where I look at six months of unchecked boxes and just feel a little shame, you know? Actually started using a red-to-green gradient for my workout log, so white feels like I'm doing nothing at all.
